The strength of women:

“The old human work is about to try to catch the light. Will you remember that we believed being able to light the night?
Time has drained us all from our space, but the darkness is still full of fireflies”

Today again they called us terrorists. Today again we have been put in the same place of the lords of death and ignominy. Today they insist in pointing us as extremely dangerous people.

What they do not know is that our bet, my bet, the women’s bet is life, justice and freedom. What they are trying to silence are our voices of denounce against violence and discrimination, which operates daily, excludes and kills our chances of being and build us as women in a world, a society that does not want it..

Now we are three women with a common history, one that begins the day that the lords of death broke into our living space,  ripped us from there and put us into cages. Three women daily walking while holding our hands and sharing the strength that we need; we join our hands like a powerful way to walk in front of them, with the heads held high, with a transparent look and with your dignity intact.

In this short way we have found other women; those cornered by poverty, hunger and lack of opportunities. We approach them with fear, with the idea of meeting with “truly dangerous” people, but you know, what we found was solidarity, respect, affection, companionship, a hot corner and strong hands that have given us hope daily.

There are other women here, those whom the uniform makes them even more slaves; we hope that with our desire for the body’s freedom, thought and life itself will someday be transmitted to them.

Behind us along these agitators and hard days there are thirteen women, our mothers that multiply in our sisters, colleagues, sisters, aunts, cousins and family. They come daily to give us their smile, love and unconditional support. We are surrounded by our men, loves, colleagues, fathers and friends. Each all of them from behind look us with love, without shame, they worry, spend their days and nights with us; they look us and transmit so much, so much love that we feel that a hug just extends over us like if they were sitting next to us giving us their heat, while the lords of injustice show us their dirty montage

Out there you are, hundreds of women who sing, play their drums, release your body, take out your voices of outrage and anger over this great injustice.
Out there, but beside us, you are, our families, friends, every person whom we have shared a piece, long or short of this life, dreams, hopes and utopias.

All of you with an indescribable force that drives us to remain standing.
All is nothing but women's strength that moves, pushes changes to this history; lovingly surrounding this that is our claim for life: be strong facing the truth and hope.

The strength, your strength that impels us to get up every day and look at them front to front and without shame.
Believe us, that strength that arrives every moment, that encourages us, strengthens us, fills us with solidarity and support.
Is like that: your strength is our strength, your impulse is ours, your unconditional love is our love to follow. They will not pass.

Thanks women and friends who accompany us and surrounded us. Thanks for every cry, every voice, every word, every expressión of support and solidarity.
